Audi will compete in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has three locations. The Audi Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 Factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the United Kingdom will begin operations this year. Our power unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for chassis development and race operations.

This position for the Audi F1 Project is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).
In the area of combustion engine development, you will work on the design and development of the power unit. From engine design to detailed modeling, you will create the component(s). You will assume component responsibility in a complex environment. Through collaboration with calculation, testing, and engine design, you will ensure that the component(s) reaches the required maturity level for the environment as quickly as possible. You will help shape the development process and accompany the component(s) through multiple construction stages

Your tasks
CAD design of assemblies and systems as well as engine components.
CAD modeling of components, drawing creation
Planning the creation path of the assembly / component with the involvement of manufacturing and procurement
Bill of materials maintenance
Creation of engine assembly lists
Component support in engine assembly and disassembly
Interpretation of calculation results and targeted implementation in construction stages
Your profile
Technical studies in the field of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or construction engineering
In-depth knowledge of engine technology and design
Several years of experience in engine design in motorsport
CAD knowledge: Catia
Experience in the field of engine peripheral design, especially exhaust systems
In-depth knowledge of materials and manufacturing technology (prototypes)
Strong teamwork skills, organizational skills and a high sense of responsibility
Independent and precise working style
Fluent German or English skills as well as the willingness to learn basic knowledge of the other language are required
